Bacon and herb sandwiches recipe

• 6 pieces of bacon
• 225g whole wheat flour
• 225g whole wheat flour
• 5ml (1tsp) salt
• 5ml (1 teaspoon) baking soda
• 15ml (1 tablespoon) finely chopped fresh sage
• 1 stick of celery, finely chopped
• 125ml natural yogurt
• 175ml milk
  

• Preheat the oven to 200°C, 400°F, Gas Mark 6. Cook the bacon pieces under the hot grill, turning once during cooking until browned. Remove from heat and chop.
• Add flour, salt, baking soda, bacon, sage and celery to bowl, insert dough hook and mix on speed 2 for 1 minute, until combined. Add yogurt and milk and mix on speed 1 for 2 minutes, until a soft dough forms.
• Pour the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll into a ball. Place on baking tray and flatten slightly. Use a sharp knife to score a cross at the top. Sprinkle flour on top and bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden. Serve with delicious butter or cheese.
